Non-Invasive Aesthetic Surgery More Popular Than Ever

The economy may be in a slump, but the aesthetic surgery industry is getting a boost from the current economic climate.

MarketWatch.com, part of The Wall Street Journal’s empire, published an article detailing current trends in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery as determined by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. While traditional cosmetic procedures such as breast implants and liposuction saw dramatic decreases, services like Botox and Smart Lipo saw rapid increases in the number of services performed.

As patients opt for less-expensive aesthetic procedures, non-invasive cosmetic surgeons like Dr. Sam Assassa of Beverly Hills Aesthetics are sure to see a continued rise in demand for their services.

“In the current economy, of course people are going to opt for minimally invasive cosmetic procedures,” said Dr. Assassa. “They are less expensive, and a great alternative when downtime is not an option – people simply can’t leave work for weeks at a time to recover from traditional cosmetic surgery.”

Madonna’s Stellar Looks Likely The Result of Aesthetic Surgery

Madonna’s transformation from the Material Girl to the Material Woman has been pretty easy on the eyes. Whether the result of good genetics or very good aesthetic surgery, Madonna still looks younger than her 50 years.

In the world of celebrity cosmetic surgery, it’s rare to find examples of “good” aesthetic procedures. However, Madonna’s glowing face attests to the fact that if it’s done right, aesthetic surgery enhances natural beauty.

Dr. Assassa of Beverly Hills Aesthetics, who does not treat Madonna, recently spoke about what types of procedures Madonna may have had.

“In this photo, you can tell that Madonna’s aesthetic procedures have been done well and are very subtle. As a doctor, I can tell that she may have had a face and neck lift because it is quite rare for someone of her age to have such few wrinkles. Additionally, it is likely that she may have had some fat grafting done on her cheeks or even a cheek implant to give her a more youthful appearance.

A great way to achieve glowing skin like Madonna is with different aesthetic peels. I would guess that she has those regularly to maintain her excellent skin elasticity. It seems to me that her aesthetic surgeon has done excellent work.”
